About the Resort
Located on five acres directly on the shores of Tomales Bay, the Tomales Bay Resort has evolved through several identities since its founding in 1950. From the soda fountain days of the '50's, to the "boatel"
haze in the '60's, and the "lava lamp" craze of the '70's, the resort has changed with the times, but has never lost its simple charm. Known as the Golden Hinde Inn & Marina (read about its history here) for many years, this classic Marin family resort recently received a new name and major renovation in 2009-2010.
Activities & Private Beaches
Today, the Tomales Bay Resort offers Point Reyes destination accommodations for all
vacationers. An on-site activity center offers kayaks, bikes, hikes, massages, a marina and a boat launch. Private sandy beaches on Tomales Bay offer instant access to the warm bay waters.
Amenities and Services
A swimming pool is also available for water-lovers. Additional amenities include an onsite Thai restaurant, and a 360-degree, second-story observation deck.
