CANCELLATION POLICIES
By making a reservation with us, you agree that cancellation of your reservation made within one week of arrival will result in a late cancellation charge on your credit card for all nights of this reservation, this policy includes a "no-show" of this reservation.
Cancellation Deadline: All cancellations must be made at least 7 days prior to your scheduled arrival date to avoid any charges.
Non-Refundable Reservation: If a cancellation is made within 7 days of the arrival date, the reservation will be considered non-refundable. In this case, the full payment will be retained, and no refund will be issued.
No Show: In the event of a no-show, the full amount of the reservation will be charged.
Modification of Reservation: Any changes to your reservation (e.g., dates or number of guests) must be made at least 7 days in advance. If changes are requested within 7 days of arrival, the cancellation policy will apply, and no refunds will be issued.

- Payment and deposits: You must provide a valid credit card to guarantee a reservation.
- Cancellations:

- Late Check-in: If arriving after 6pm, you must contact the hotel to arrange for your key (415) 669-1389.
- Guest Conduct: You are expected to behave in a way that doesn't disrupt other guests or the hotel's operations. Prohibited acts often include:
- Bringing unauthorized parties or gatherings into rooms.
- Causing damage to hotel property.
- Providing false information.
- Liability and Responsibility:
- You are responsible for any damage to the hotel's property.
- The hotel is generally not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged personal possessions.
- There is no lifeguard at our pool or beaches. Swim at your own risk - children may not be left unattended.
- Taxes and Fees: The Resort charges a 14% tax on all rooms, $50 per pet plus $25 thereafter (for pet-friendly rooms).
- Group Bookings: Reservations for a certain number of rooms, four (4) or more, are considered a group booking and require special arrangements and a written contract from events@tomalesbayresort.com.
- Booking Violations: Booking more than the maximum number of rooms online four (4) may lead to the cancellation of your reservations and potential fees.
- Governing Law: All bookings are subject to the laws of the Inverness, California.
- Age Restrictions: You must be of an adult (age 18+) to reserve a room.
- Pets: Pets are only allowed in designated pet-friendly rooms. Pet fees apply. Bringing a pet into in non pet-friendly rooms will result in a full day's charge for deep cleaning.
- Rates: All rooms rates are for double-occupancy. Additional guests in rooms with more than one bed are $25 per person, per night. Local fire regulations do not allow more guests in a room than are allowed.
- Non-Smoking: All rooms are non-smoking rooms. Smoking in any room will cause a deep cleaning fee of $500 to be applied to your credit card.
Resort Accessibility Information
Service Animals
As defined by “Title II of the ADA”, service animals are permitted on our property at no additional cost. If any damages are caused by the service animal, cleaning and repair fees may apply.
Wheelchair Accessibility
- The Resort has on-site van accessible parking spots.
- The ground floor registration office is wheelchair accessible with staff to accommodate check-in.
- Not all doorways and walk-ways are wheelchair accessible.
